Scott Valcourt, Managing Director, UNH InterOperability Laboratory
Scott is the Managing Director of the University of New Hampshire’s InterOperability Laboratory since 2000. A division of the University of New Hampshire's Research Computing Center, the InterOperability Laboratory (IOL) has the dual mission to foster interoperability within the data communications industry and to provide students with a detailed education in data communications technologies for the last fifteen years. Scott, who also serves as Associate Director of Research Computing, was named one of the 50 most powerful people in networking by NetworkWorld magazine in 2001. In March 2002, Scott was inducted into the DSL Forum Circle of Excellence for exemplary leadership and contribution to the success of DSL testing and interoperability. Scott is an adjunct lecturer in the computer science departments of Saint Anselm College, Manchester, NH and the University of New Hampshire, Durham, NH.
He holds a BA in Computer Science with Mathematics Emphasis, cum laude, from Saint Anselm College, a MS in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire and is a PhD student in Engineering Systems Design at the University of New Hampshire.
